Reproduction of ukiyo-e style woodblock print “Tametomo and his Son Rescued by Tengu” by Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1798–1861) from Edo period.

Compositions produced by Kuniyoshi is based on the novel by Kyokutei Bakin (1767-1848) ‘Chinsetsu Yumiharizuki’ and Hokusai’s illustrations to it.
Fleeing by sea from defeat in the Heiji Wars, Tametomo’s party are overcome by a storm. Tametomo stopped from killing himself by spirits of tengu.
